Today’s journey took us from Hilton Head, SC to St. Augustine, FL. Tonight we are camped in Anastasia State Park, a nice campground with private sites and a beach on the Atlantic. We are on our way to Key West! Oh yeah, I am excited for this destination. We have been to Key West once before, in collage. You know, back when everyone was making the trip to hang with Hemingway. I loved it then and have always wanted to go back. Can’t wait.
Since Georgia is in between SC and FL, we had some BBQ today. In Brunswick, GA there’s a place right off of 95 called Georgia Pig. The restaurant is a house of some significant age, whose walls are saturated with meaty smokiness. If you stop in, be sure to get the stew.
