Drove 10 hours today from Ohio to Iowa and never left I-80. Even so, it was not really boring until we passed Chicago and then it was all corn. We are camped at a Rest Area just outside Iowa City. No amenities this time, but it’s free and I’m tired.
Apparently, we just escaped disaster. Today we read on teh twitters that part of I-80 in PA were closed due to flooding. We just left there yesterday! So new rule: Get in after the hurricane, but leave before it rains again.
